Micron CEO Steve Appleton Dies in Airplane Crash

Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Former Micron Technology Inc. board member Gordon Smith talks about today's death of Micron Chief Executive Officer Steve Appleton in a plane crash. Appleton, who took charge of Micron at 34 and went on to become the memory-chip industry’s longest-serving chief executive officer, died after crashing an experimental plane in Boise, Idaho.
