Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Former Micron Technology Inc. board member Gordon Smith talks about today's death of Micron Chief Executive Officer Steve Appleton in a plane crash. Appleton, who took charge of Micron at 34 and went on to become the memory-chip industry’s longest-serving chief executive officer, died after crashing an experimental plane in Boise, Idaho. He was 51. Smith speaks with Jon Erlichman on Bloomberg Television's "Bloomberg West." Cory Johnson also discusses Micron's performance with Emily Chang. (Source: Bloomberg)
