Clarida on Three-Year ECB Loan Plan

Dec. 21 (Bloomberg) -- Richard Clarida, global strategic adviser at Pacific Investment Management Co., talks about the European Central Bank's plan to loan $645 billion to euro-area banks. The ECB said 523 banks asked for the funds, which will be lent at the average of its benchmark interest rate, currently 1 percent, over a period of three years.
