Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi offered to resign as soon as Parliament approves austerity measures in a vote next week, President Giorgio Napolitano said in an e-mailed statement after meeting Berlusconi in Rome. The resignation offer came after Berlusconi failed to muster an absolute majority on a routine parliamentary ballot. Bloomberg's Dan Liefgreen reports on Bloomberg Television's "Bottom Line."
