Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Aditya Birla Group executive R.P. Pansari talked with Bloomberg-UTV last week about an effort to restore prosperity to the Indian state of West Bengal through the enactment of the ancient Hindu ritual of yagna. Pansari, and about 20 of his peers, took time out of the office to chant prayers as they sought divine intervention in the fortunes of a state struggling to attract investment and create jobs. Yagna, more typically used to ask for rain or bless a new house, was in its seventh day on Nov. 4 with as many as 500 priests attending 100 ceremonial fires. (Excerpt. Source: Bloomberg)
