Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. economy grew in the third quarter at the fastest pace in a year. Gross domestic product, the value of all goods and services produced, rose at a 2.5 percent annual rate, Commerce Department figures showed today in Washington. Separately, first-time jobless claims decreased by 2,000 to 402,000 in the week ended Oct. 22, according to the Labor Department.
