Aug. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Mark Vitner, a senior economist at Wells Fargo Securities LLC in Charlotte, North Carolina, talks about the U.S. economy and Federal Reserve monetary policy. Philadelphia Fed President Charles Plosser and Dallas Fed chief Richard Fisher said they opposed the central bank’s Aug. 9 pledge to keep interest rates near zero for at least two years in part because it gave the appearance of trying to prop up the stock market. Vitner speaks with Susan Li on Bloomberg Television's "First Up." (Source: Bloomberg)
