July 29 (Bloomberg) -- William Strauss, a senior economist and adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, talks about U.S. manufacturing and the outlook for the economy and job creation. The Institute for Supply Management-Chicago Inc. said its business barometer fell to 58.8 in July from 61.1 the prior month. Figures greater than 50 signal expansion.
