May 23 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Daniel Golden reports on the experience of Leon Lin and Li Rirong, two Chinese students who were steered to the University of Connecticut satellite campus in Torrington by agents who were paid thousands of dollars and promised to get them into the university's flagship campus at Storrs. More than 400 agencies licensed by the Chinese government, and many others that are not, cater to affluent Chinese who want their children to gain the prestige of a U.S. college diploma. The agents employed often misrepresent or conceal their U.S. affiliations. (Source: Bloomberg)
