Dec. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Kevin Hassett, director of economic policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute and a Bloomberg News columnist, discusses the revised $3.8 trillion savings plan released by leaders of President Barack Obama’s deficit-reduction commission. The proposal released today would reduce income tax rates, impose spending caps and salary freezes on the federal government and cut health-care costs.
