Sept. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Edwin Truman, former head of the Federal Reserve's international-finance division and currently a senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, talks about the U.S. economy and the central bank monetary policy. The Fed said it’s willing to ease monetary policy further to spur growth and support prices while refraining from expanding its holdings of securities. Truman also discusses Lawrence Summers's plan to leave his job as director of the president’s National Economic Council. Truman talks with Susan Li on Bloomberg Television's "First Up."
