Cathay Pacific's Tyler Interview on Business Strategy

Aug. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. Chief Executive Officer Tony Tyler talks with Bloomberg's Rishaad Salamat about the company's business strategy and growth outlook. Cathay said yesterday it will buy 36 Airbus SAS and Boeing Co. planes after posting better-than-estimated profit. Shares of Cathay, Hong Kong’s largest carrier, climbed yesterday to the highest in more than two years as demand recovers from a travel slump during the global recession that had forced the company to park planes and give staff unpaid leave.
