July 8 (Bloomberg) -- Sam Chandan, global chief economist at Real Capital Analytics, talks with Bloomberg's Julie Hyman about the fall in U.S. apartment vacancies and the housing market. Across the U.S., quarterly apartment vacancies dropped for the first time in two years, falling to 7.8 percent from a 30-year high of 8 percent in the first three months of the year, New York-based property research firm Reis Inc. said in a report today.
