June 1 (Bloomberg) -- Rupert Armitage, head of equities at Shore Capital Group Plc, talks about American International Group Inc.'s rejection of Prudential Plc's $35.3 billion bid for its main Asian unit AIA Group Ltd. Prudential’s Tidjane Thiam, who has staked his career on the purchase of AIG’s Asia unit, had asked that the price for AIA be cut to appease shareholders who said the deal is too expensive.
