April 1 (Bloomberg) -- David Tepper, who runs Appaloosa Management LP, earned an estimated $4 billion last year, making him the highest paid hedge-fund manager in 2009, the New York Times reported, citing an annual ranking by AR: Absolute Return+Alpha magazine.
