March 31 (Bloomberg) -- Business activity in the U.S. expanded in March for a sixth straight month, according to the Institute for Supply Management-Chicago Inc.'s index. The report's business barometer fell to 58.8, lower than anticipated, from a February reading of 62.6 that was the highest since April 2005. The gauge, in which figures greater than 50 signal expansion, showed orders and production increased at a slower pace. Bloomberg's Betty Liu and Mike McKee report. (Source: Bloomberg)
