March 9 (Bloomberg) -- Thomas Mayer, chief economist at Deutsche Bank AG, talks about creating a lender of last resort in Europe to ease disruption caused by the failure of a euro member to pay its bills. Mayer, who made the proposal for a European monetary fund along with Daniel Gros, director of the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels, discusses how the fund could offer investors new EMF bonds in exchange for defaulted securities. Mayer speaks with Bloomberg's Linzie Janis and David Tweed from Frankfurt. (Source: Bloomberg)
