Dec. 17 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. House approved a $154 billion economic-aid package and a $290 billion increase in the legal limit on government borrowing as the chamber wrapped up its legislative business for the year yesterday. Democrats said about half of the cost of the economic package could be financed with money left over in the Treasury Department’s Troubled Asset Relief Program. Bloomberg's Lindsey Arent reports.
