July 9 (Bloomberg) -- Christopher Thibault and Brendan Lee, co-founders of mobile-software startup 52apps, recall the company's origin, describe the development of an application over the course of a typical workweek, and discuss the company's long-term goals. The company, based at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, uses in-house and submitted ideas to create a new app for Apple Inc.'s iPhone or iPad every week. Its most successful app so far is a note-taking program called SmartNote, which has been downloaded more than half a million times. (Source: Bloomberg)
