Why we like it: Chrysler updates the venerable Jeep Wrangler with a desperately-needed new powerplant, a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6. The interior is way better and it drives surprisingly nicely on the road. But take it out through the mud and snow, over boulders, hills and dales, and it's true go-anywhere character shines through. An American classic.
