Each August, Golden Gate Park becomes ground zero for an explosive lineup of good eats and great music as dozens of singer-songwriters, DJs, and bands take the stage at Outside Lands. In between sets, concert-goers can explore the work of several local artists (the festival has partnered with Juxtapoz magazine to offer a series of art events, including live painting sessions), sip brews from more than a dozen local beer-makers, grab a meal on the go from a food truck, or indulge in something a bit heartier from one of the more than 50 local restaurants that will be on-site to share their culinary goodies. On the menu: all manner of eats, including BBQ shrimp, creamy grits, and ice cream sandwiches.
