U.S. Marines take Diwaniya Bridge on April 7, 2003. This photograph is one of a sequence taken over three days as 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines attacked and captured this bridge in Diwaniya before driving into Baghdad and toppling the statue of Saddam Hussein outside the Palestine Hotel.
