Billed as the world's smallest, rechargeable spinal-cord stimulator, this implantable device was created to help people who suffer from a failed back surgery or chronic pain of the trunk and limbs. Available through a doctor's order, the eon mini neurostimulator connects to a small insulated wire with multiple electrodes placed near the base of the spine. It emits mild electrical pulses that interrupt or mask the transmission of pain signals to the brain.
