Or maybe not. Casting about for his Joe-the-Plumber cred, Romney recalled in February that he has "some friends who are NASCAR team owners" and that, disarmingly, "Ann drives a couple of Cadillacs." When he offered Texas Governor Rick Perry a $10,000 bet during a primary debate in December, the gaffe became the highlight of the night. "Not a lot of 99%'ers are out there making $10,000 bets," former Obama White House aide Bill Burton wrote on Twitter.
