Spicy Rat Toes at Six Feet Under Pub And Fish House

More appealing than their loathsome name would suggest, Six Feet Under’s “spicy rat toes” (three for $6.50) are a luscious perversion of that old bar-snack staple, the jalapeño popper. The spicy peppers are stuffed with shrimp, swaddled in strips of smoky bacon, skewered, and baked until blistered. It’s a shockingly cohesive combo, with sweet crustacean and crisp cured meat tempering the pepper’s heat. Cool it down further with a dunk in tangy ranch, served alongside.
