David Vitter

Senator David Vitter survived his 2007 admission that he had consorted with a prostitute after his name appeared on the call list of Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the so-called D.C. Madam. The Louisiana Republican made a public apology with his wife, and the Senate Ethics Committee dismissed a complaint against him because the alleged conduct occurred before he was elected to the Senate. He was re-elected in 2010.
