At least three people have died in clashes that erupted May 31 between police and protesters who accuse Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of trying to impose an Islamist agenda in increasingly authoritarian ways after three successive election victories. The Turkish Medical Association said yesterday that more than 4,000 people have been treated at hospitals since the clashes began.
