Cherry Blossom at Nationals Park
More than 100 years ago, Japan gifted the U.S. with 3,000 cherry blossom trees, which were planted in the nation’s capital. Each spring, the city honors these blooming beauties with its near-month-long Cherry Blossom Festival. The Nationals got in on the hanami action in 2008, when they unveiled 14 Kwanzan Japanese cherry blossom trees, more than half of which are located on the main concourse behind left field.
