In the early 1970s, Bushnell gave Steve Jobs one of his first gigs in technology as a technician at Atari. Bushnell assigned Jobs to design the game "Breakout," where a player moves a paddle back and forth to volley a ball against a wall of bricks.

Now, Bushnell is working on a book called "Finding the Next Steve Jobs." The late Apple (AAPL) co-founder combined intuition with business savvy in an unprecedented way, Bushnell said.

"A lot of people don't understand creativity at all," he said.
