Colombia

Price per gallon of gasoline: $4.72
Rank by most expensive gas: 46
Rank by pain at the pump: 12

Colombia's gas price is well below the ranking's $6.01 average. Still, low wages make gasoline unaffordable for many Colombians.

The average daily income in Colombia is $23. The share of a day's wages needed to buy a gallon of gas is 21 percent.

Colombia's annual inflation rate unexpectedly dropped to a near three-year low in January. That was partly due to declines in transportation costs after the government cut a tax on gasoline.
