West Coast Trail

Vancouver Island, Canada

The 47-mile West Coast Trail was created in 1906 to save shipwreck survivors along the rocky west coast of Vancouver Island.

Now the trail is so popular with hikers that it even has its own reservation system. The trail is open for hiking May 1 through September 30.
