Nuerburgring | Nuerburg, Germany

Overview: Few tracks are as legendary, or as dangerous, as Nuerburgring, located in the thickly wooded Eifel mountains, an hour south of Cologne. The infamous Nordschleife (North Loop) is actually a public toll road.

Course: Drivers die here every year, and no wonder: Tricky, narrow and bounded by metal barriers, the 13-mile-long Nordschleife takes years to learn. Beware the Carousel, a severely banked turn in which you intentionally place your tires into a concrete ditch as you pitch through.

Difficulty: 10/10

Vehicle of choice: A Porsche GT 3, with a roll cage and other safety equipment

The catch: You might die.
