Estonia Ferry Death Toll -- 852

The bow door of the sunken ferry M/S Estonia is lifted from the bottom of the sea off Uto island, nearly two months after the ferry sank in the Baltic sea, killing 852 people on the night of Sept. 27-28, 1994. It was Europe's worst post-war maritime disaster.
