Gerald Rubin runs Helen of Troy, a maker of consumer products, including Oxo kitchen appliances, Pert shampoo and Sure deodorant. His compensation package included a $10 million cash bonus and $28.7 million in stock awards.

Shares have risen 30 percent this year, giving the El Paso, Texas-based company a market value of $1.4 billion.
