Founded in the wake of Jerry Garcia’s passing, Gathering of the Vibes aims to resurrect the spiritual subculture that existed within the Deadhead community. Which is to say that it’s about as close to Woodstock as you’re going to get. Now in its eighteenth year, the festival—which will take place in Connecticut’s Seaside Park—is an all-ages affair and offers a designated family camping area where mini music lovers can partake in a full schedule of activities, from face painting to puppet shows.
