Certain electronic systems are tested and reused, while others are taken out, says avionics technician John Newcomb. All the circuit breakers are taken out on the first day, and by day two, the plane is powered down.

With virtually everything inside stripped, the technicians can now rest their coffee cups where the cabin crew used to rest. Jodie Foster's giant Flightplan plane, it ain't, but the aircraft is undoubtedly roomy inside.
