Who makes it: Sonos
What it costs: $700
Why we like it: For the smooth crooning of Adele or Michael Buble, Sonos's wireless speakers do the trick. Where they fall short is if you want to rock the house with Led Zeppelin or Ne-Yo. The Sonos subwoofer, shaped like a square donut, moves the company into home stereo territory by offering wall-pounding bass alongside Sonos's Play speakers. The price for all the gear isn't for the thrifty, but we love the ability to manage our digital collection and stream from Rhapsody, Spotify and other vast music libraries with sound like it was made to be heard.
