In 2006, CBS used image software to slim down Katie Couric in a photo for its in-house magazine, Watch! The original photo of the network evening news anchor had been widely circulated in the media months earlier. Gil Schwartz, executive vice president of communications for CBS Corp., told the Associated Press that the alteration was the work of a network photo department employee who "got a little zealous."
Couric's reaction? "I liked the first picture better because there's more of me to love," she told the Daily News.
