With above-average gas prices, low incomes and lots of driving, Cypriots give up the third-greatest share of their incomes to fueling up: 3.5 percent. The only countries that spend more are South Africa and Greece.

The average daily income is $68. The share of a day's wages needed to buy a gallon of gas is 10 percent.
