Friendly Skies...on the Ground

San Francisco International Airport has unveiled its brand new United Airlines boarding area at Terminal 3. After a $138 million renovation, "T3E" has been transformed into a beautiful, modern transit center that you'll actually want to spend time in (it even has a yoga room). We visited the terminal throughout its renovation and watched its progress.

Left: Once drab and fluorescent-lit, the original corridor was stripped to the foundation in 2011. Today, SFO's Terminal 3 Boarding Area E features world-class artworks, including a piece from American artist Wayne Thiebaud that shows off San Francisco’s steep streetscape.
