The Lure of Caribbean Medical Schools
DeVry Inc.'s two medical schools in the Caribbean leave
students with high debt -- financed by American taxpayers -- and fewer chances
of getting jobs as physicians than graduates of U.S. institutions. The schools,
American University of the Caribbean (shown here) in St. Maarten and Ross
School of Medicine in Dominica, are accepting hundreds of students who were
rejected by U.S. medical colleges.
