The Plaza's Eloise Suite

New York

Cartwheel-loving fashion designer Betsey Johnson is the mastermind behind The Plaza Hotel's Eloise Suite, an ode to the hotel's most famous—and fictional—six-year-old resident. The two-room suite (one for mom and dad) is every young girl's dream room come true, mixing the old-world glamour of 1950s Manhattan (pink and white candy-striped walls and gold-leaf molding) with childlike whimsy (zebra-striped rugs and a sparkly pink padded headboard). Pint-sized guests can indulge the fantasy just a little bit further with a trip to the hotel's playhouse-like Eloise Shop, or indulge in the Palm Court's Eloise Tea, which swaps out cucumber sandwiches for more kid-friendly fare such as miniature grilled cheese sandwiches.
