Go On, Take the Money and Run

Summer concert season has a little juice left in it yet, but it'll cost you. Click ahead for the highest-priced concert tours; each slide shows the average ticket value in the secondary market, the average face value of a ticket and the difference as a percentage.

METHODOLOGY: Bloomberg ranked 15 artists based on the average secondary-market prices for concert tour tickets for shows from Memorial Day, May 27, 2013 to Labor Day, September 2, 2013 in the U.S. and Canada, according to secondary-market ticket aggregator TiqIQ. Average resale prices were determined by totaling the value of all tickets available on the resale market to TiqIQ and dividing by the number of listings available onTiqIQ as of August 19. (TiqIQ has about 90 percent of all listings available on the secondary-market.) The average prices for events that had already occurred as of August 19 were calculated 12 hours before the event.
