Bogie and Bacall, R.I.P. With one exception, the 15 U.S. films that have grossed the most worldwide are about wizards or superheroes or other wonderful weirdos, and the exception is "Titanic," and come on. There's some terrific writing and acting and scenic design in this list, just not a lot of flesh-and-blood human beings, who aren't eating flesh and blood. Same today, with zombies and monsters leading the box office. (Note to self: Pitch "Zombies and Monsters" next elevator ride with a Warner's suit.) But ka-ching, eh?
