It's not the sort of number a company wants to brag about: five chief executive officers in about three years. Yet, that's been the story for Yahoo!, the pioneering Web portal that hasn't been able to find longevity in its top leaders.
Among Yahoo's top executives, length of tenure is also relatively short. Prior to Marissa Mayer taking over as CEO, the average tenure of Yahoo's top ranks, which includes the time they've spent in other positions at the company, was 3.7 years, according to Bloomberg data. That compared with 6.8 years for its peers.
So which of Yahoo's peers, a grouping of Internet and media companies picked by Bloomberg, have longer average tenures? And which ones have a shorter duration than Yahoo?
