Roku 3

Who makes it: Roku

What it costs: $100

Why we like it: Google's Chromecast has the low cost, and Apple TV has the integration with the vast iTunes ecosystem, but for the sheer range of programming choices, nobody beats Roku. It boasts more than 1,000 entertainment channels, full 1080p support and a microSD slot for viewing your pictures and other content. Oh, and the remote control -- which includes a headphone jack for watching in bed without disturbing a sleeping partner -- also doubles as a motion-sensitive game controller for Angry Birds and other titles.
