Briggo Coffee Haus

Austin, Texas

The University of Texas at Austin is home to the first of what coffee company Briggo hopes will be several machine-operated outposts at hospitals, airports, and college and corporate campuses across the country. Measuring just 4' x 12' x 8', the retro-looking edifice created by San Francisco–based design firm Fuseproject is fashioned out of wood veneer with aluminum accents, and a glass panel that allows the customers to see the mechanism at work. The direct-trade coffee from Latin America can be ordered via the station’s touch screen or the mobile website, which will save a customer’s preferences for easy reordering and send a text notification when the drink is ready. The forthcoming iPhone and Android apps will even allow patrons to schedule exact pickup times. briggo.com
