Out of Sight

As we know from Cheney's scary mishap, hunters can become the hunted, especially in areas where visibility is poor because of dense foliage or trees. This patent is designed to prevent those types of accidents by using a radio frequency interrogator mounted to the firearm and a transponder that's attached to the hunter's jacket. When the hunter's rifle is aimed at a person wearing the transponder, the system would emit a signal to warn the shooter.

The patent for the "alert RF system for hunter protection" was granted to Protective Arms Systems Inc. in Burlington, Ontario.
