It's Not for Everybody

After graduating with a history degree from the University of Virginia, Alexis Ohanian started a link-sharing website with a friend. Reddit is now one of the top 250 websites in the U.S., according to researcher Compete.

"The biggest myth about innovation is that there are only certain people who are capable of it," Ohanian says. "The Internet is enabling people from all backgrounds to create and share new ideas like never before."

On a recent tour of colleges to promote his book "Without Their Permission," Ohanian encouraged students to pursue personal projects and experiment.

"We're not doing a good enough job preparing students for the Internet-enabled world they're entering," Ohanian says. "Everyone needs to be thinking of themselves as an entrepreneur."

Even a history major.
