The 18-propellor Volocopter is designed to carry two passengers for 100 kilometers using an electric motor. It could revolutionize the way humans move across the planet, says Satyendra Pakhalé, who saw a prototype when he gave the keynote this year at the CeBIT computer expo. 

The Volocopter is controlled by onboard computers that make constant adjustments to keep the vehicle stable. “It makes the experience of flying safer, simpler and more accessible and therefore fun,” Pakhalé says.
