Seesmic raccoon

<p>Loic Le Meur happened to stumble upon the big-eyed raccoon that would eventually appear in the logo for his company Seesmic, which makes social-networking software. He held a contest for people to submit logo-design sketches, which garnered 450 submissions.</p> <p>People voted on the favorite, which was a raccoon. Le Meur liked the idea, but not that particular raccoon. Later, he found an image of a cartoon raccoon when he was browsing the Web and purchased the rights. At least he didn't have to pick through the trash to find it.</p>
